The Guidelines
Here you will find guidelines for creating and editing articles on this site. Please do your best to heed these.
- Please always remember to check off 'minor' edit if you're editing a page and just adding a line or doing something minor.
- Also please always leave a comment for what you have edited. If you're creating an article for the first time just put something like "Creation." or "Initial creation.".
- Please try to not save it first, then read over it, then notice you made some mistakes and fix it by editing them and saving it a second time. Instead, use the preview button and make it right on the first submission. The only reason we say this is because when you keep editing an article numerous times unnecessarily, it adds extra 'crap' to our database and will make the site slower over time. Please help us to try to keep things efficient.
For now those are the only guidelines. They are actually more 'rules' but since they are difficult to enforce, we will call them guidelines.
Actually Creating / Editing the Article
As for actually creating the article in the first place, here is what you do: Lets say you wish to create an article called "Psi Vampires". You type exactly "Psi Vampires" into the search box on the left and hit the GO button.
The following page says "There is no page titled :Psi Vampires". Then there is a link just to the right of that which says 'create this page'. Simply click that link, add all your info into the text box, add a comment at the end, preview it and if you're happy with the end result, save it.
To edit it in the future you just visit the already created page again and click the edit link up at the top of the page while you are logged in as whichever user you want to edit or create the page as. We would prefer people don't create / edit pages from a 'guest' account, but for now we won't stop you from doing so.
